Fire-fighting teams are now on site as multiple forest fires burn sensitive areas in the northwest province of Mae Hong Son.

The Phu Phan National Park in Sakhon Nakhon has implemented tougher actions against wildlife poachers, having dispatched a “Smart Patrol” team who travel on foot while equipped with GPS devices to tag locations and satellite information usage, to more frequently check around park territory, said park head Pimol Eungphrombundit on Tuesday.
